New Turbocharger (Without Return of Deposit) compatible for: AUDI A3, A3 Sportback, SEAT ALTEA, CORDOBA, IBIZA, LEON, TOLEDO 3 SKODA FABIA, OCTAVIA, SUPERB II, VW BORA, CADDY, GOLF 4, 5, JETTA, PASSAT B6, POLO, TOURAN 1.9 L TDI. NEW TURBO WITHOUT RETURN OF DEPOSIT!

For warranty, plan to replace the air filter + engine oil with pre-drain cleaner, clean the air exchanger... (see PROCEDURE and CONTROLS sections). Known issue with 1.9 TDI engines: turbo failure is not always related to its fragility! These engines suffer from an oil circuit clogging issue which results in turbocharger failure. Package contents: 1 Pair of gloves.

Location on the vehicle: 1.9 TDI 4motion. 1.9 TDI Cupra R. 1 Drain the engine oil by using a pre-drain engine cleaner and replace the oil filter twice in a row: The engine oil must be at temperature. The vehicle must be on a horizontal surface (lengthwise and widthwise).

Loosen the oil filter so the oil can drain completely. Remove the filling cap and oil dipstick. Let the oil drain through the lower oil pan. Do not drain by suction.

2 Clean: Clean the oil cooler and engine side filter with brake cleaner and dry the parts with compressed air. Clean the vacuum pump screen with brake cleaner and dry it with compressed air. IMPORTANT: If the oil appears polluted, it is necessary to flush the system before continuing.

For vehicles with less than 60,000 kms, clean the lower engine oil pan. For vehicles with more than 60,000 kms, replace the oil strainer. 3 Inspect/replace oil lines: Replace the oil supply line with a new component. Replace the hollow screw of the oil inlet and its seals. Replace the oil return line, its fitting, and seals.

4 Fill with oil and test: Replace the oil filter with a new component. Reassemble the drain plug with a new seal.

Fill the engine oil to the correct level. Position the oil return line in a suitable collector tray. Start the engine and let it run for 60 seconds at idle. The amount of oil drained should be more than 500ml during the 60 seconds. IMPORTANT: Do not run the engine if the oil level is below the minimum.

5 Fill with oil: Properly connect the new oil return line to the turbocharger. Fill the engine oil to the required quantity.

Let the engine run at idle until the oil pressure warning light goes out max. Stop the engine and let it sit for 5 minutes. Check the oil level on the dipstick. It should be close to the maximum, without exceeding it. 6 Additional checks: Visual inspection of injectors, if there is soot, it may indicate a leaking injector. Resolve the issue before continuing. If polluted, clean or replace it. Check the particulate filter and replace it if necessary. Checks to be performed before replacing your turbo and to prevent any possible failure after its replacement: Check the injector seals.

Remove the air intake duct to the turbocharger to inspect whether the compressor wheel nut is present or not: - If the nut is present, check the axial and longitudinal play and if the blades do not touch the compressor housing. If the nut is absent, it must be found before fitting the new turbocharger. Check the vacuum pump and its inlet screen. If too clogged, it must be replaced, otherwise clean it. Check all hoses and pipes including exhaust and ensure there are no foreign bodies, restrictions, or pinches.

Remove and clean the air intercooler and the breather system. The entire filtration system must be replaced: oil filter, air filter, strainer, banjo bolt, vacuum pump if the screen is too clogged. Check that the particulate filter (DPF) and the catalytic converter are not blocked or heavily clogged. For vehicles with Right-hand Drive (RHD).

For vehicles with Left-hand Drive (LHD). The interval between engine oil changes: Even if the manufacturer recommends maintenance every 20000kms, it is strongly recommended, on this 2.0 TDI engine, to replace the oil every 7500 to 10000kms to preserve your engine. Injector leaks: If you notice black oil stains around the injector, experience power loss, loud engine noise, and a smell of unburned gas in the cabin, it is important to address this issue promptly as the carbon buildup around the injector causes oil contamination that will eventually decrease lubrication of the turbocharger and lead to its failure.

The oil pan strainer and the banjo bolt filter on the turbo oil inlet are the two most sensitive elements to this contamination. Engine oil quality: Use a high-quality oil with viscosity 5w30 or 5w40, consult a specialist. The EGR valve can also cause oil contamination, so it must be checked before replacing the turbocharger. On some models, the oil pan must be replaced when replacing the turbo because of a design flaw preventing complete drainage of used oil during oil changes. If you have a yellow oil dipstick, inquire!

The capacity increases from 3.4l to 3.9l, requiring replacement of the oil dipstick which will then be orange. The lack of lubrication and deterioration of engine oil quality have several possible explanations. Turbo failure is usually due to lack of lubrication. The turbo shaft relies on pressurized engine oil, spinning at extreme speeds. Any oil deficiency quickly damages it!
